About WTLA
The Writing Today Literary Association seeks to promote knowledge of scholarly interest in languages, cultures, and literatures of world. We encourage the reading and writing of literature, criticism, and scholarship, as well as wide-ranging discussions among those committed to the reading and study of literary works. Join the WTLA and help us ensure that literature thrives in scholarly and creative environments. We will welcome you to a community of readers, scholars and writers who understand how literature enhances our lives. The Association also promotes the organization of regional and specialized meetings in the field of Language and Literature
For your membership, you will receive a year�s subscription to the refereed journal Writing Today International Journal of Studies in English. Conference fee excluded. As a responsible organization WTLA believes that promoting literature helps build the character of our society.
The goals of the WTLA
- To organise workshops and conferences on language and literature
- To provide space for encounters between scholars, critics, editors, and teachers, and fiction writers, poets, playwrights, and screenwriters;
- To foster connections between the academic study of literature and the wider literary culture extending beyond the academy;
- To encourage debate and exchange between and among scholars of ancient and modern literatures, and between and among those who study Western texts and the texts of every culture and continent in the world;
- To explore the literary dimensions of other arts, including film, drama, painting, and music;
- To support, encourage, and guide the study of literature.
About the Award
The WTLA Award is to acknowledge the services of eminent Scholars, Writers and Critics in the field of Languages and Literatures from the different parts of India.
